9.23.20 – Kathy Springhorn Wedding Announcement
The Colonial Dames of America Is pleased to announce the marriage of Miss Kathleen Elizabeth Springhorn and Mr. Thomas John Dillman. They were married Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Kathy, a former CDA First Vice-President, has been an enthusiastic CDA board member and committee chairman for over twenty years. Her new husband, Tom, has also been a great support to the Society for many years.
Kathy and Tom were married by Judge Mark Purdy who is passionate about American History, and traces his Purdy line to the 1600’s.
Kathy’s qualifying CDA ancestor was Judge Joseph Purdy (born 1652, Fairfield, Connecticut, died 1709, Rye, New York): Justice of the Peace, surveyor, and three term Representative to the Colonial Assembly.
After the ceremony, Kathy presented an official CDA cookbook to Judge Purdy, as seen in the second photo.
