Chapter VIII – Houston, TX
Founded: 1928
Chapter Project:
The first project is to fund student summer internships at the Mount Vernon Museum and Garden. This will help the upkeep of our museum and gardens, as well as give deserving students an opportunity to learn about the nation’s history and preservation. These deserving students receive a stipend and opportunities for careers in this field that would not be available for them otherwise.
The second project is to financially support the scanning and digitization of CDA records. This will help all chapters get their papers approved more quickly, as well as create records that can be preserved for future generations. This will be a great help for our organization.
