Registrar General, Laura Ramsay has Tidbit #3 for your genealogical work: “Many early maps were inaccurate, and land grants created disputes in Colonial New England. At one time both Connecticut and Massachusetts claimed part of Rhode Island. Therefore some records from the southern part of Rhode Island can be found in all three states.”
