The cda1890.org website, first launched in January 2015, has been re-launched with exciting new functions and CDA’s first online store. After six months of behind-the-scenes activity led by the Communications Committee, the Finance Committee, the Communications Coordinator and our outside Information Architect, the entire site is bigger and better, with the same beautiful CDA1890 design.

The Society has entered into e-commerce with the CDA Store on the Donate/Buy page, which will securely accept your designated donations in the amount of your choice, with the opportunity to add dedications or shipping directions for gifts. You may pay by credit card or Paypal account, or, you may download an order form and send it by snail mail with your check to the CDA office.

You won’t want to miss the CDA products category, which includes the very few remaining CDA designer scarves, the beautiful MVHMG note card collection, and the art- and recipe-filled CDA cookbook. Please consider all of these for yourself or as gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day or special occasions. Proceeds benefit The Colonial Dames of America and the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden.

Other changes in the site include updates in the password-protected areas: the Member Library has been redesigned to make finding documents and forms easier; an updated schedule for the 126th Annual Meeting to be held in New York April 30-May 2, 2016 is available, as is information about Private CDA Events, such as the Washington Tea. The “126 Years” ribbon is ready to download for chapter publications.
