About
Founded: 1964
Chapter History: Our history has been to provide a forum for descendants of the 13 colonies, pre-Revolution. We come together to celebrate our history, and ensure that our efforts, educational opportunities and donations benefit our community.
Historic Preservation & Education: Our chapter has been involved and supported early childhood education including teaching English as a second language to the underserved in local schools. We established a film project in a local, independent secondary school that concerned the history of the State of Florida. We also supported and provided scholarships for women who are trying to become citizens. We have shopped for and counseled wounded warriors in our area. Our current project has been working with and supporting First Serve. They hire and train high school students to mentor disadvantaged children in our community and help them develop life skills and leadership.
