Chapter History: The charter to approve Chapter XXXIV was granted on the 28th of June 2012 by the Parent Chapter in New York. Twenty-one ladies comprise the charter membership. The first meeting was held at the Arts Center in Little Rock, AR. The newly elected officers were installed. It was decided to meet twice a year, once in March, then in September. We have since tried hard to fulfill the CDA’s mission.
Historic Preservation & Education: We do a lot with veterans in and around our area as well as help with the upkeep of a historic cemetery in North Little Rock named the Thomas Cemetery. Formed in 1880 by J.W.B. Thomas, land he donated to be a community cemetery. It has 769 known burials. After his death in 1885, it went into disrepair.
