On Tuesday, June 24th, CDA received the Zone III Historic Preservation Commendation from The Garden Club of America. President General Laurie Aldinger, Garden Liaison Lili Neuhauser, and Past President General Rebecca Madsen accepted the award for CDA’s work on the historic grounds of the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden. The award recognized our “exceptional contributions to preserving New York’s early nineteenth-century history and the legacy of women landscape architects.” Anyone who has visited the Mount Vernon Garden knows what a sight it is, an urban oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. A special credit to Garden Club Liaison Lili Neuhauser, as well as the MVHM&G team, for their tireless work.
